  3. The first single "Knights" has the good ol' Minus the Bear feel but besides that song the album is very different. They take pathos of such songs as "Memphis and 53rd" from Menos El Oso and they basically expand that to the entire album. "Part 2" is the slowest song Minus the Bear has ever released, however I also feel it is also the weakest song.

  7. And Menos el Oso wins this round! Menos el Oso (literally Minus the Bear in Spanish) is the band’s second full length album, and contains some of my favourite songs by the band, Pachuca Sunrise and Hooray, which is what gave it a leg up on Planet of Ice. While I certainly don’t limit my listening of Minus the Bear to one season, their music.

  8. Minus the Bear is a band that experiments and finds, through experimentation, songs that both make sense and make moods at the same time. Menos El Oso, an earlier work released in , is full of tunes that run from good to great. The sound has it all from excellent guitar work, electronics added where it counts, great percussion and smooth /5(61).
